Ok, it’s a 1992 Audi 100CS, V6 5speed. The problem i’m having is that the speedometer isn’t working and the car idles rich, you can smell the gas coming from the exhaust pipe. When i accelerate the car drives fine, the problem is only when the car is in idle. After driving on the freeway for a little while the car throws a code for the vehicle speed sensor, NOW, i was told that if i replaced the VSS that it would fix both the speedometer problem and the rich idle problem, would that work?

An input to the vss is not an input to the vss and rich idle are two totally separate issues on your car the vss is not an input to the amount of fuel injection the kjet.
      An input to the kjet.
