Audi of America, Inc. the distributor of high quality Audi TT parts has announced recently the pricing of the most anticipated RS4 Cabriolet model which will have a tag price of $81,900. The destination charge will cost $775 and is not included in the base price. The gas-guzzler tax will still have to be determined prior to the Cabrio’s arrival at US showrooms in fall of 2007.

And since Audi’s Cabriolets will only be limitedly produced, it will be offered with standard equipment that would include navigation system plus, preparation for mobile phone (Bluetooth), SIRIUS satellite radio, BOSE sound system, heated front and rear seats, memory function for driver sear and exterior mirrors, bi-xenon adaptive headlamps, rear parking system, acoustic convertible top, HomeLink garage/gate opener, auto dimming exterior mirrors, auto dimming interior rear-view mirror with integrated compass, rain and light sensor with “coming home’ feature, color driver information system, iPod glovebox interface (no-cost option in place of standard 6 CD chnager), brushed aluminum decorative inlays (no-cost option in place of RS 4 carbon fiber decorative inlays).

And just like the sedan, the Cabrio will only be offered with a six-speed manual transmission and Quattro all-wheel drive that features the asymmetrical dynamic torque split. The 2009 projected version includes several innovations which are mostly related to the engine, the experimental version uses a EA 888 engine which is more eco-friendly, this version has been developed in order to address issues related to power, fuel efficiency as well as emissions.

The B8 was first introduced to the market in September of 2007 and it was featured in the Frankfurt auto show, the Avant version was unveiled in the Geneva auto show in 2008.

Since the engine has been moved forward there is of course a better weight distribution so the front: rear weight ratio is of 45:55 respectively, the weight distribution also depends on the chassis that the buyer selects as well as the engine. In order to increase the legroom of the rear passengers the length of this vehicle has been increased about 12 cm.

The first contender has got to be the telephone. No other invention has fostered communication in the way the telephone has. Next is the humble electric light bulb. It might seem a dim idea but artificial light has made a profound impact on the world - and is still doing so. There are plenty of other ideas out there: the aeroplane, the transistor, penicillin or Velcro. And I’m dying to see a great justification for how bubble wrap changed the world!”

The Audi campaign claims that compared to NASA they have filed 9,621 patents in developing the A6 Saloon and Avant, while the NASA was just able to file 6, 509 patents to date.

The competition will officially open on February 1, 2007 and will end on April 30, 2007. The winner will be announced on May 31 included in the June 2 issue of New Scientist.

Unlike the A2 model which was originally designed as a three door hatchback vehicle which later all and became more of a luxury family car, the Audi A4 which is also manufactured by the same German automotive maker “Audi” is a luxury executive car which can also be classified as a compact vehicle. According to the enumeration you might think that this is the successor to the A2 but, it actually is a successor of the Audi 80.

This version became available as an “Advant” which is the name that Audi gave to station wagons and also to estate cars. The A4 was also available as a Cabriolet and sedan. The production of this vehicle started in 1994 and ever since its introduction to the market there have been for generations (or versions) of this model, let’s take a look at them:

The B5 A4:

The production of this version started in 1994 and was extended until 2001, this was originally introduced as a sedan which featured a standard front-wheel-drive however, many of the owners of the A4 preferred to go with the four-wheel-drive version. American buyers only have the option of acquiring a B5 A4 which had a V-6 engine, this was also the model which set the standard of quality and engineering for this manufacturer.

The B6 A4:

This vehicle was launched by the market in late 2000, it was inspired by the second-generation C5 Audi A6. The Avant version was launched in at the end of the second quarter of 2001, it featured a 50:50 front to rear torque distribution.

The B7 A4:

This model was heavily revised, it used a variation of the chassis featured in the B6, this is in reference to the Volkswagen B6 (PL46) platform which was still used in this version. This revision was launched in 2004, the engine used featured a four valve per cylinder architecture because the five valve was not compatible with the FSI injection system.

The B8 A4:
