Is there anyway to hard wire an IPOD to a 2006 Audi A6?

I went to the audi dealer and they wanted over $1,000 to hard wire the ipod. They claim it is so expensive because the MMI interface is fiber optic.

      I’m not 100% sure if this is what you’re asking but if you just want to connect the iPod to your car to listen to just buy an iPod ready stereo system

      An ipod plug aftermarket decks look nice in my a4.
